Free or freemium tools, there are paid tools that allow you to get an idea of Internet user demand. They all work in roughly the same way: they are web crawlers that will collect PetaBytes of data and make them available in their interfaces. I'm talking here about tools such as ahrefs, moz, semrush… There are others, but as stated previously, their mode of operation and functionality are quite similar.
The difference comes from the calculation methods, each Email Data obviously has its own internal recipe. Everyone has their favorite tool but overall it appears from the various comparisons that Semrush is more precise and offers more features. Semrush seems to have added value for keywords, technique, content. Ahrefs seems more efficient for netlinking. These different platforms are interesting, but: They are not within the reach of beginners. One day, in an appointment, a prospect told me “I use Semrush too”.
I respond to him by asking him what decision he would take in relation to a cross-reference of 2 pieces of data communicated by the platform. No answer. It is not enough to pay, you must be able to interpret the information and draw action plans from it. It's a budget. For these tools to give the best of themselves, there are subscriptions of several hundred € per month. The investment is therefore not always justified. Again, everyone uses them. Your competitors know as much about you as you do about them and, with everyone having the same information, it's difficult to differentiate yourself.
